Good Bye

DSC02626
A fantastic month as an artist in residence at the LoBot Gallery has come to an end (it actually did one month ago, but I’ve been travelling and not being able to update the blog…). I’d like to thank all people at the LoBot for their generousity and friendly atmosphere — and a big thank you to IASPIS for their financial support to my stay.

For some pictures of my last print, look here, and for updates regarding my work in Sweden, go to my blog illustrationinpractice.blogspot.com.

Love, A

The Swimmer

While browsing through some books to day, I found this picture by Milton Glaser—to my great surprise it’s even a namesake to my print: The Swimmer.

Mixing ink and trying the color tones out on the fluorescent cardboard, which with it’s strong color changes the appearance of the ink and makes everything a bit harder to figure out.

This big door actually helps the prints to dry so fast—that I was able to do a 3-color print today. I’ve never experienced that before.

Right now I’m working on some drawings — and am preparing this one for the silk screen studio!

It’s a new year!

Today is my last day in Oakland, and I have had the best winter experience here. Everyone at LoBot has been so supportive, and kind. I couldn’t be more thankful, and I wish all of you a wonderful new year.

So, here are a slew of photo’s that have been taken over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, I was too much in a rush to take my camera for the new years trip to Bolinas (the most beautiful cliffside/beach).
Here are some shells and stones collected from the beach.

note

I have loved working in the print shop, and it’s made me think about opening up an online shop. I’m pretty excited about the idea, and anxious to start making things.

I want to thank everyone at LoBot for everything!
THANK YOU!
