A fantastic month as an artist in residence at the LoBot Gallery has come to an end (it actually did one month ago, but I’ve been travelling and not being able to update the blog…). I’d like to thank all people at the LoBot for their generousity and friendly atmosphere — and a big thank you to IASPIS for their financial support to my stay.
For some pictures of my last print, look here, and for updates regarding my work in Sweden, go to my blog illustrationinpractice.blogspot.com.

While browsing through some books to day, I found this picture by Milton Glaser—to my great surprise it’s even a namesake to my print: The Swimmer.

SF from a tourist’s point of view.

Heading for the GG bridge one passes a beautiful field.

Beautiful and big thistels, as seen in the dog park.

Amazing kites—requires windy meadows.

A find in Thrift town—obviously embroidery has ran out of fashion in favor of tube painting.

Creativity explored—another great place in the Mission.

RPS Collective—a DIY studio in Oakland which runs a quite an interesting program, eg zine making, ‘mess with bikes’, ‘pilates to the people’.

Bringin’ in that fresh air into the workshop.

One of the finals.

Mixing ink and trying the color tones out on the fluorescent cardboard, which with it’s strong color changes the appearance of the ink and makes everything a bit harder to figure out.

In order to get the vacuum table to work well, one has to pinch every inch of it with a needle…

This big door actually helps the prints to dry so fast—that I was able to do a 3-color print today. I’ve never experienced that before.

Cool view from the silk screen studio.

So far, just 2 colors printed.

Prints in different color variations.

Ready to frame!

Right now I’m working on some drawings — and am preparing this one for the silk screen studio!

Today is my last day in Oakland, and I have had the best winter experience here. Everyone at LoBot has been so supportive, and kind. I couldn’t be more thankful, and I wish all of you a wonderful new year.
So, here are a slew of photo’s that have been taken over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, I was too much in a rush to take my camera for the new years trip to Bolinas (the most beautiful cliffside/beach).
Here are some shells and stones collected from the beach.

Stenciled paddles
We typed in ping-pong related words into a band name maker
and we came up with…
Old tooth, The Carnage

Luminous Rage, The Shadow of the Returning.

The San Francisco Bay, seen from the Berkley hills on Christmas day.

Casper, the best dog, and LoBot/Hatch resident.

bike pizza.

Post Hanukkah meal

Spools of thread and fabric I got from the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse.
I wish NY has a place like it.

Work I completed in the print shop.

I have loved working in the print shop, and it’s made me think about opening up an online shop. I’m pretty excited about the idea, and anxious to start making things.
I want to thank everyone at LoBot for everything!
THANK YOU!
